FAQ

What are the gun safety rules?

  1. Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.
  2. Never let the muzzle cover anything that  you are not willing to destroy
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot
  4. Be sure of our target and what is behind it

How much training do I need?

Skill with a firearm is a very perishable thing. We can not train once and expect it to last a lifetime. It should be planned to take annual firearms training classes and invest regular practice time at the range. But as with everything each individual is different in their needs.

What if I don't own or have never owned a firearm?

If you don't own or have never owned a firearm then the NRA Basic Pistol or PTD's Fundamentals of Pistol classes would be a perfect fit. You will get hands on training in gun safety, gun selection, maintenance, fundamentals of shooting and time on the range to shoot.

Do you have classes for home defense or self protection?

We offer several classes that will fit your needs for defending yourself and your family. Our NRA Personal Protection In the Home focuses on you and your family inside the home where our PTD Protective Pistol Skills focuses on all avenues of defense with a pistol.

Are firearms safe?

Modern firearms are very safe. A gun is an inanimate object and has not ill will or intent. A firearm is simply a tool to be used by safe law abiding citizens for sport and defends of themselves and others.
